The Alabama baseball team is catching heat for a disrespectful photograph that’s now circulating social media. That image has somewhat overshadowed an incredible comeback win over Ohio State.

The Crimson Tide erased a 10-0 deficit to beat the Buckeyes on Sunday, 12-10. Slugger Will Hodo ended the game in walk-off fashion with a three-run bomb in the bottom of the ninth inning.

Ohio State plated the first 10 runs of the contest thanks in large part to a seven-run fourth frame. They’d be held scoreless over the final five innings of play.

The same couldn’t be said for the Tide, who scored nine of their 12 runs in the final three at-bats to successfully complete the victory. It was the largest comeback in program history.

The home team clubhouse erupted with excitement upon seeing Alabama run their record to 8-0 on the season. The postgame celebration in T-Town was an absolute scene.

A group of Alabama baseball players took things a step too far, however. Pitcher Riley Quick gathered a few teammates to pose for a photo after the fact.

Each held up middle fingers while a caption on the image read, “F— the O.” It quickly went viral after being sent on Snapchat.

After seeing the online attention, Quick apologized for the picture, which he called “inappropriate.” He vowed to reach out to Ohio State directly.

The Alabama baseball team managed to create a negative headline following a historic win. With the apology, they’ll now look to turn the focus to a Tuesday afternoon matchup against Jacksonville State.
